It was both a busy and successful week on the field of play for a number of underage teams in both county and divisional competitions. On Thursday 13th September, the U-14 team played Caheragh in the county championship in Bantry where they were comprehensive winners. Despite having a very limited numbers of players on the panel with a number of them nursing injuries they lead from start to finish in a one sided contest.
The U-16 team had a good win early in the week away to Muintir Bhaire in the western coiste competition and then went on to defeat Cullen by a wide margin in the county championship, played at Ballingeary.
The U-10 team played in the Beara go-games programme throughout the season and then reverted to a play-offs series over the past while. They came out the better side of their meeting with Garnish before heading to Lauragh, home venue of Kerry club Tousist for finals day and a meeting with Urhan. On the day our players came up a little short but had a hugely successful year and earned their place in the top two game on the day that all six teams took to the field.
