The Glengarriff minor footballers turned in a spirited performance against Urhan in the Beara championship final played in Castletownbere on Sunday morning last, 9th Sept, but still came up short at the final whistle.
Urhan made a whirlwind start and in the opening five minutes registered 3-1 to give them a ten point lead. The Glen finally sprung into life and through their efforts reduced the gap to three points at half time. Great credit to all of the players for their outstanding efforts in a team which included seven U-16 players.
